Therapy for Grief, Loss & Transitions

Discover true healing through reconnecting with yourself

What once felt familiar or certain may suddenly feel unrecognizable.

Maybe you had time to prepare, maybe you didn’t. Change is inevitable, and whether it happens suddenly or gradually, the challenges it presents can shake your confidence. You find yourself questioning what’s next or wondering if you’ll ever feel like yourself again.

Grieving the death of a loved one or welcoming a new addition to the family, losing a job or finding a fresh career path, ending a relationship or creating a life together… all come with their own challenges. Even changes you've chosen or longed for can leave you feeling disoriented by what you've left behind and uncertain about what lies ahead.

Life is a labyrinth filled with twists and turns, obstacles and detours, dead ends and unexpected possibilities. At times, you may feel lost, stuck, or unable to see a way forward. Uncertainty asks us to live without knowing the whole story, and to discover our ability to trust ourselves as it unfolds.

Sound familiar?

there’s nothing wrong with you…

Anxiety and depression aren't character flaws. They’re often intelligent responses to prolonged stress, loss, trauma, relentless striving, or years of trying to survive by staying in control.

Your brain and nervous system are designed to help you adapt to stress and protect you from threat. Anxiety is part of your internal alarm system that responds to uncertainty, anticipates danger, prepares for action, and solves problems. When that alarm stays activated for too long, it begins to take a toll. What was once protective can become exhausting, leaving you mentally, emotionally, and physically depleted.

As exhaustion sets in, your body and mind begin conserving energy. Over time, that chronic depletion can start to look and feel like depression. You slow down, withdraw, or disconnect as your nervous system tries to recover. Everything feels heavier. You numb out, avoid, or struggle to care about things the way you once did. The future seems bleak. You’ve been carrying too much for too long.

Anxiety and depression often coexist. One keeps you moving, planning, controlling, analyzing, striving. The other leaves you feeling stuck, drained, and unable to imagine things getting better. Together, they can create a cycle of frustration and fatigue that's difficult to escape without support.

Anxiety and depression aren’t signs of weakness or failure. They're signals that something needs attention, care, and compassion… not judgement or criticism. Healing begins not by fixing yourself, but by understanding yourself.

How we’ll work together

Therapy helps you move beyond your symptoms to create safety, connection, and trust within.

Anxiety and depression develop when we've spent years surviving, striving, adapting, or trying to hold everything together. Therapy offers a space to slow down, explore what's beneath the surface, and reconnect with yourself.

Drawing from EMDR, parts work (IFS), mindfulness, somatic awareness, attachment theory, and other evidence-based approaches, I tailor therapy to your unique needs and goals. Together, we’ll cultivate practical ways to calm your nervous system, regulate overwhelming emotions, and find steadiness amid life's inevitable uncertainties.

Rather than simply silencing symptoms, we'll become curious about what they're trying to communicate. We'll explore the significant experiences, relationships, and roles that have shaped you, survival strategies you’ve developed, and the tender vulnerability you've learned to protect.

Healing begins with understanding, not judging or eliminating symptoms.

As your nervous system begins to settle, something else starts to emerge.

“There are some things you learn best in calm, and some in storm.”

~Willa Cather
